With just a few days remaining before its theatrical debut, the excitement surrounding Dhurandhar 2 has reached a new high. The film’s advance booking has already shattered several records, crossing an impressive ₹120 crore worldwide even before its official release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the highly anticipated spy thriller is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on March 19. The film will also have paid preview shows starting from the evening of March 18, which has further fueled the strong demand among audiences.

Early ticket sales clearly show massive anticipation, as advance booking numbers continue to grow rapidly across domestic and international markets.

Record-Breaking Preview Collections

Preview bookings for the film began alongside the trailer launch on March 6, but full-scale advance booking for regular shows opened only recently. Despite the late start, the response from moviegoers has been extraordinary.

So far, preview screenings alone have generated ₹32.44 crore in domestic gross, making it the largest premiere collection ever for an Indian film.

The previous record was held by Pawan Kalyan’s film OG, which earned around ₹25 crore in preview bookings last year.

Trade analysts believe that if the current pace continues, preview collections could cross ₹40 crore by Wednesday, setting an even bigger benchmark for upcoming releases.

Massive Opening Day And Weekend Sales

Advance booking for regular shows began on Saturday and quickly picked up momentum. Within a short period, opening day ticket sales alone have reached ₹14.66 crore gross.

Overall, the film has already sold nearly 10 lakh tickets across preview shows and opening day screenings.

Industry trackers estimate that advance booking for the entire opening weekend has crossed ₹60 crore in India, a figure that strongly suggests the film could deliver one of the biggest openings in Indian cinema history.

Overseas Markets Break New Records

The film is also performing exceptionally well in overseas markets. In North America, pre-sales have crossed $5 million, making it the first Indian film to achieve this milestone in advance booking in the region.

With this achievement, the film has surpassed the advance booking numbers of major Indian blockbusters such as Pathaan, RRR, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which had crossed the $4 million mark during their pre-sales run.

Across global markets, total overseas advance booking has now crossed $6 million.

When combined with domestic sales, the worldwide advance booking total stands at approximately ₹120 crore.

Trade Experts Predict Even Bigger Numbers

With more than two days still left before the film’s official release, trade experts expect advance booking numbers to rise even further.

Industry insiders believe the worldwide pre-sales could cross ₹150 crore and potentially challenge ₹200 crore once spot bookings begin closer to release.

If this momentum continues, Dhurandhar 2 could be on track to deliver one of the biggest opening weekends ever recorded for an Indian film.
