The upcoming spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is witnessing an extraordinary response at the box office even before its theatrical release. The film has already sold more than 10 lakh tickets across India for its opening day, reflecting huge excitement among audiences.
With just two days remaining before its release, the film’s opening day advance booking has crossed ₹50 crore gross in India. This total includes ticket sales for paid premiere shows scheduled a day before the official release.
This achievement makes Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge the first Bollywood film to cross ₹50 crore in opening day advance booking, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
A major portion of the film’s advance sales has come from premiere shows. Reports suggest that the premiere advance booking alone has crossed ₹33 crore gross, making it the biggest premiere performance ever for an Indian film.
For the official opening day, advance sales have reached around ₹16 crore gross, with approximately 3.60 lakh tickets already sold for regular shows.
Meanwhile, over 7.10 lakh tickets have been sold for premiere screenings across more than 23,000 shows nationwide.
Despite having a runtime of nearly four hours, the film is still expected to enjoy one of the biggest theatrical releases ever in India.
Since ticket sales opened, the film has been showing strong booking momentum across the country. Major multiplex chains have reported rapid ticket sales, with many shows filling up quickly in major cities.
The massive pre-release demand suggests that the film could end up with one of the biggest opening days in Bollywood history.
Trade analysts believe that with two more days of advance booking remaining, the final opening day pre-sales could cross ₹75 crore gross, which would be an extraordinary milestone for a Hindi film.
The excitement surrounding the film is not limited to India. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is also generating strong interest in overseas territories.
Advance bookings in markets such as North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia have been extremely strong, further boosting the film’s global pre-release numbers.
The film is directed by Aditya Dhar, known for delivering high-intensity action dramas. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also features a powerful ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
The sequel continues the spy saga that began with the first Dhurandhar, which emerged as a major box office success.
With record-breaking advance bookings, strong audience anticipation, and massive pre-release hype, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is now aiming for a historic opening day at the box office when it arrives in cinemas later this week.
