Housefull 5, the fifth installment in the popular comedy franchise starring Akshay Kumar, has wrapped up its theatrical run. Despite its star power and franchise backing, the film fell short of expectations financially. However, it still managed to emerge as the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025.

India Box Office Performance

At the domestic box office, Housefull 5 collected a net total of ₹198.41 crore, narrowly missing the coveted ₹200 crore mark. The gross collection in India stood at ₹234.12 crore.

While the film didn’t turn profitable due to its high budget, it outperformed every Bollywood release this year except for Chhaava, which continues to dominate the charts.

Overseas Collection

Internationally, the film earned a gross of ₹69.60 crore, placing it again at the #2 spot among Bollywood films in 2025, behind only Chhaava (₹100.90 crore gross overseas).

It beat other Akshay Kumar releases like:

• Sky Force – ₹15 crore

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 5 may not have met financial expectations, but it reaffirmed Akshay Kumar’s appeal among the audience and gave the franchise a new milestone with its ₹300+ crore worldwide mark.
