Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has been a storm at the Indian box office ever since it released. With Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah also playing pivotal roles, the film captured nationwide attention and created new milestones for Kannada cinema. As the movie reaches the final phase of its theatrical journey, it is set to wrap up as the 8th highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
45 Days Box Office: How Much Has Kantara Chapter 1 Collected?
Now in its sixth week, the film’s momentum has slowed to a crawl. Only its Kannada and Hindi versions are still contributing small numbers, and even those are nearing the end of their run.
On day 45 (the seventh Saturday), the film recorded ₹38 lakh, a slight improvement from day 44’s ₹21 lakh.
As per early estimates from industry trackers, Kantara Chapter 1 has amassed:
- ₹620.16 crore net (all languages combined)
- ₹731.78 crore gross including GST
From this point forward, the film is expected to earn another ₹2–3 crore, after which its theatrical journey will officially conclude.
Will It Rise Higher Than 8th Place?
As things stand, Kantara Chapter 1 holds the 8th position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films (net).
However, overtaking the film in the 7th spot—Stree 2, which stands at ₹627.5 crore net—is nearly impossible now. With the current pace, Kantara Chapter 1 is headed for a ₹622–623 crore net lifetime total, which places it securely in the 8th position.
