Raid 2 - Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 is soon going to complete its 50 days, but now its box office journey is on the verge of ending. While the crime thriller film performed strongly in the initial weeks, it is now ready to bid farewell to the theatres.
Though the film received a good response initially, it was given a tough competition by the recently released Bhool Chook Maaf. Besides, Housefull 5, which released on 6 June 2025, has also started ruling the box office.
On the 49th day, Raid 2 earned only around 10 lakhs, which is less than the 12 lakhs of the previous day. This is because of the entry of big films one after the other, first Rajkumar Rao’s Bhool Chook Maaf and then Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 which took over the screens.
Till now, a total of 178.87 crores net and 211 crores gross has been earned in India. However, this film will not be able to join the 200 crores net club.
Raid 2’s budget was around ₹120 crore. In 49 days, the film has given the producers a net profit of ₹58.87 crore, i.e. a return on investment (ROI) of 49%. This film of director Raj Kumar Gupta was successful, but will not be considered a superhit at the box office as its ROI did not reach 100%.
The film is currently the second highest grossing Hindi film of 2025, but this ranking will not last long either. Housefull 5 has earned ₹ 170.89 crores in just 12 days and is now very close to overtaking Raid 2.
At the same time, Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par is releasing tomorrow, which can completely snatch away the remaining screens and audience of Raid 2.
Raid 2 did have a strong run at the box office, but due to the pressure of new films, its time is now over. This Ajay Devgan film is ready to bid farewell to the screen with a respectable performance.
