A Blow to Kamal Haasan’s Hopes

Kamal Haasan’s Big Comeback Faces Major Setback. Released on 5th June, Thug Life received mostly negative reviews from critics and viewers alike. Due to the poor word of mouth, the film started dipping right from its opening week and never managed to pick up momentum at the box office.

Thug Life’s Collection in 17 Days

On Day 16, the film earned just ₹3 lakh, and on Day 17, it slightly increased to ₹4 lakh. The total net collection in India now stands at ₹48.08 crore, while the gross collection (including taxes) has reached ₹56.73 crore. Judging by the current pace, the film is unlikely to even add ₹50 lakh more, meaning it will end its run without crossing ₹50 crore net in India.
