War 2 Movie Advance Booking Collection Report: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s Action Thriller Shows Early Promise

War 2 Advance Booking Collection: A Promising Start for the Hrithik-Jr NTR Action Film

The much-anticipated War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is gearing up for its big Independence Day weekend release with a promising advance booking performance. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Yash Raj Films, has generated notable buzz across key markets in India.

Strong Advance Booking Figures

On the first day of advance booking in India, War 2 grossed approximately ₹3.08 crore (without block seats) through sales of around 91,327 tickets. The collections span across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, reflecting War 2‘s pan-India appeal. When including block seats, which theaters reserve for spot bookings and special promotions, the total advance gross soars to about ₹7.14 crore.

Breakdown by language and format shows:

  • Hindi 2D tickets grossed around ₹2.49 crore with 72.453 tickets sold.
  • Tamil 2D tickets contributed over ₹6.28 lakh with 4,318 tickets sold.
  • Telugu 2D tickets grossed nearly ₹23.79 lakh with 10.283 tickets sold.
  • Hindi IMAX and 4DX formats also saw healthy bookings, adding to the overall tally.

Geographic and Format Highlights

Advance bookings for War 2 have been strong in Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal among other states. The National Capital Region and Mumbai demonstrated particularly high gross collections. The film is releasing in multiple formats including IMAX, 4DX, Dolby Cinema, and standard 2D, catering to diverse audience preferences.

Competition and Expectations

While War 2’s advance booking figures indicate solid interest, it faces stiff competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which is currently dominating ticket pre-sales. However, War 2 is anticipated to perform well, given its superstar cast, action-packed narrative, and strategic marketing by Yash Raj Films.

About War 2

War 2 reunites Hrithik Roshan as Kabir with Jr NTR taking on the antagonist role, marking a significant collaboration bridging Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Kiara Advani plays the female lead, supported by Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor. The film is part of YRF’s expansive spy thriller universe and is being released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu across India and globally.

With just a few days to go before the August 14 release, all eyes are on War 2 to see if it can build momentum and challenge its blockbuster rival at the box office.
