Ayan Mukerji’s high-octane action thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, has been the biggest talking point of 2025. Despite its grand opening, the film’s collections have started to sink with weekdays showing dramatic drops. On Day 7, the film registered its sharpest fall of nearly 35%, but it still managed to break into India’s 200 crore club.
As per estimates, War 2 earned around ₹6.34 crore (all languages) on Thursday, down from ₹9.75 crore on Day 6. Hindi continues to dominate, though it also saw a steep decline with a 41% drop on the first Wednesday.

This pushes the India gross to ₹241.41 crore, giving the film the second-highest opening week in 2025 for Bollywood films.
Even with a shaky trend, War 2 has managed to overtake the lifetime total of Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 (₹198.41 crore). With this, the Spy Universe film takes the **#4 spot among the highest-grossing Bollywoodilms of 2025.
With an estimated budget of ₹325 crore, War 2’s current net earnings of ₹204.59 crore translate to a 63% recovery in just one week. However, compared to the gigantic expectations from the YRF Spy Universe, the film may not be the game-changer fans were hoping for.
While War 2 had an explosive opening weekend, its weekday drops raise doubts over long-term sustainability. Still, crossing the 200-crore mark in a week and overtaking Housefull 5 to become the 4th highest Bollywood grosser of 2025 remains a respectable feat for Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s much-hyped entertainer.
