The film registered a dramatic 135% surge in advance ticket sales within 24 hours, following robust pre-sales after opening bookings in Telugu-speaking markets. Jr NTR’s star power was on full display, as Telugu fans responded enthusiastically from the moment shows went live.
Earlier, confusion over ticket prices saw Andhra Pradesh approving a ticket hike, while Telangana rejected price increases for both War 2 and Coolie. This cleared the air, fueling a fresh advance booking wave as more shows went live, especially in Telugu belt, further amplifying numbers.
War 2 now boasts the third-best opening day pre-sales for Bollywood in 2025, surpassing Housefull 5 (₹8.02 crore) and Saiyaara (₹9.4 crore). With one more day to go, it is poised to challenge the current leaders: Sikandar (₹10.09 crore) and Chhaava (₹13.85 crore).
