Weapons 2025 - Julia Garner
Horror thriller “Weapons” is proving to be a standout performer at the box office. The film collected a robust $24.5 million in its second weekend in North America, maintaining its No.1 position on the domestic charts. So far, its North American collection stands at $88.5 million, with the $100 million mark firmly within reach.
The film’s performance isn’t just limited to North America. Internationally, “Weapons” raked in $19 million during its second weekend, outpacing similar films in this genre. Its total overseas revenue has now touched $60.3 million, collected across 72 overseas markets.
Combining its domestic and international earnings, “Weapons” has achieved a remarkable global total of $148.8 million. It is now less than $3 million away from breaching the coveted $150 million mark worldwide.
“28 Years Later,” released earlier this year, made $150.4 million globally and stands as the third highest-grossing horror film of 2025. With the current momentum, “Weapons” is expected to outpace this total and continue climbing the rankings of this year’s top horror films.
With a reported production budget of $38 million (excluding marketing), “Weapons” has already delivered exceptional returns, comfortably passing its break-even point. Headlined by Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, the film’s success affirms the continuing demand for quality horror thrillers in the post-pandemic era.
