Epic - First Semester did not see the kind of growth expected from a film entering its first weekend. The Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya-starrer recorded a noticeable drop in its India net collection on Saturday, Day 2.
Epic - First Semester collected an estimated ₹1.30 crore net in India on Day 2, compared with ₹2.10 crore on its opening day. This represents a 38.1% decline from Friday.
The film has now collected around ₹3.40 crore net in India in its first two days.
Epic - First Semester Day 2 Box Office Collection
The film had opened at approximately ₹2.10 crore net on Friday. While Saturday usually brings some improvement because of the weekend audience, Epic - First Semester moved in the opposite direction.
On Day 2, the film recorded around 24.1% overall occupancy across 1,331 shows. Its estimated India gross for the day stood at about ₹1.53 crore.
The Day 2 performance is important because the first weekend was expected to give the film a chance to build momentum after its opening. Instead, the Saturday decline has put more pressure on the Sunday numbers.
